Florida Orienteering - Directions

Usually, you can follow temporary O-signs from main entrances to the Orienteering registration area.

• Anastasia State Park, St. Augustine, FL.
  From I-95 exit 311. Go east 4 miles on State Road 207. Turn right on State Road 312. Go 4 miles to A1A. Turn left on A1A. Go 1.5 miles to main park entrance. (Turn right after The Surf Station.)
  Entry Fee: $8/Car or $4 (Driver only)

• Blue Spring State Park, Orange City, FL.
  From I-4 - take exit 114, Route 472 connector, to US 17/92. Go south 1 1/4 miles to light at French Avenue. Turn west onto W. French Ave. It is 3 miles to park entrance.
  Entry Fee: $6/Car or $4 (Driver only)

• Croom - Withlacoochee State Forest, Brooksville, FL.
  From Orlando, take SR 50 West to 3 miles after US 301. Turn right on Croom-Rital Rd.
  From I 75, take exit 301 onto SR 50 East. Go 1 mile then turn left on Croom-Rital Rd.
  Continue 7 miles (paved) then 6 more (unpaved) on FR 6 (now heading west.)
  Entry Fee: $2/Person (Honor system)

• Deleon Springs State Recreation Area, Deleon Springs, FL.
  Take I-4 East to Exit 114. Left onto SR 472 towards Deland. Right onto 17/92. After 1.7 miles turn left onto US 17 (Truck Route). Turn left after 7 miles when it re-joins US 17. Go 3 miles, through Deleon Springs, and turn left onto Ponce-de-leon (sign to Post Office). Park is straight ahead 1 mile.
  Entry Fee: $6/Car or $4 (Driver only)

• Florida Agricultural Museum, Palm Coast, FL.
  From I-95 exit 298 take US 1 south 1.5 miles to N. Old Kings Rd. Turn Left. The entrance to the Museum property is about 0.2 miles on your left.

• Kelly Park, (a.k.a. Rock Springs), Apopka, FL.
  From I-4 exit 92 follow SR 436 west 6.5 miles and merge into US 441. Continue North for 0.7 miles to center of Apopka. Turn right on Rock Springs Road and go 5 miles to T-junction, turn right. Park entrance is 0.2 miles. Important Note - how to get there if Park Avenue is closed
  Entry Fee: $3/Car (1 or 2 Persons) or $5/Car (3 or more)
  

• Little-Big-Econ State Forest, Oviedo, FL.
  Barr Street: Located 3 miles northeast of Oviedo, on Geneva Road, SR 426.
  Snow Hill: Go 6 miles northeast of Oviedo, on Geneva Road, SR 426. Turn right on McLain Rd. After 1/3 mile turn right on Snow Hill Road. Go 2 miles to park entrance on right.
  Entry Fee: $2/Person - honor system.

• Geneva Wilderness Area, Oviedo, FL.
  Located 5.5 miles northeast of Oviedo, on Geneva Road, SR 426.
  

• Moss Park, SE Orlando, FL.
  Go 2 miles south of the SR 528 Expressway on SR 15. Turn east on Moss Park Road. It is 3 miles to park entrance.
  Entry Fee: $3/Car (1 or 2 Persons) or $5/Car (3 or more)
  Note: NO PETS ALLOWED within the park; with or without leashes.

• Oleta River State Park, North Miami, FL.
  From I 95, exit 12C right (East) onto NE 163rd St (SR 826). Go about 3.6 miles (1.1 miles past Biscayne Blvd/US 1) to park entrance on the right.
  Entry Fee: $4/Car (1 Person) or $6/Car (2 to 8 Persons)
  

• Ocala National Forest , Shockley Ranch, or Woodpecker Hill, Paisley, FL.
  Go 5 miles west of Deland on SR 44, turn right (west) onto CR 42.

• Ocala National Forest , Woodpecker West, or Billies Bay, Alexander Springs, FL.
  Go 5.5 miles north of Altoona on SR 19, turn right (east) onto CR 445.

• Rock Springs Run State Preserve, Sanford, FL.
  Located 6 miles west of I-4 on SR 46.
  Entry Fee: $3/Car - honor system

• Split Oak Forest, SE Orlando, FL.   *** Not used as a FLO staging area ***
  Go 6 miles south of SR 528 Expressway on SR 15. Turn east on Clapp Simms Duda Road. It is 2 miles to park entrance.
  Entry Fee: None
  Note: NO PETS allowed within the forest; with or without leashes.

• Tibet Butler Preserve, Lake Buena Vista, FL.
  Go 5.5 miles north of I-4 on SR 535. (Watch out for the left turn which SR 535 makes at the light 1/2 mile north of the I-4 exit.)
  Entry Fee: None

• University of Central Florida (UCF), Orlando, FL.
  Located 2 miles north of SR 50, at University Blvd and Alafaya Trail (S.R.434) Entry Fee: None

• Wekiwa Springs State Park, Apopka, FL.
  From I-4 exit 94 take SR 434 west 1 mile to Wekiva Springs Road. Turn right and go 4.5 miles to the park enterance. - OR - Take Wekiva Springs Road 3.5 miles north from SR 436.
  Entry Fee: $6/Car or $4 (Driver only)

• Wickham Park, Melbourne, FL.
  Go 7 miles north of Melbourne on US 1, turn left on Parkway Blvd. Go 1.5 miles to park entrance - OR - From I-95 Exit 73, take Wickham Road approx 8 miles south. Go left on Parkway Blvd. for 1/2 mile to park entrance.
